On the topic of Purposes and Preferences, I had an opportunity to live into purpose drop into my lap recently at work. I am fortunate to work for the city of Minneapolis, with colleagues who not only say they value being a welcoming city, they show it with their actions. Being driven by purpose myself, I simply could not let the opportunity pass me by, so I got involved in the planning efforts to show welcome to migrants arriving from our southern border. As one of my significant communities, it just made sense to include Fabric in this particular part of the effort close to my heart. Thanks for helping however you can! The following statement is from Hennepin County and Minneapolis:

The City of Minneapolis welcomes individuals from all over the world. Some of the newest arrivals, including asylum seekers, come to the City of Minneapolis and Hennepin County having never experienced cold weather, and do not have weather appropriate clothing.  Just in time for the holidays, Hennepin County has set up an Amazon Wish List so that new arrivals who do not have the means to purchase clothing and other essentials have what they need to stay warm as the temperatures drop. Please consider purchasing items on the wishlist for newly arriving families in need.

OPTION 1: Here is an Amazon Wish List that Hennepin County created for the Free Store they are setting up.

When you order, choose the delivery address: “Anne Semenak’s gift registry address”

OPTION 2: Gently used items are okay. They should be in good shape. Items to consider donating:
