COVID-19 Update - September 7, 2022
With the availability and effectiveness of vaccines for all ages and Omicron boosters, we are using these metrics (based on CDC and MN Guidelines) to guide our activities this fall. Take a look at the COVID-19 Community Level (indicated by color) in the Hennepin County COVID Dashboard…
[This situation update, provided by the CDC, is updated each Thursday by 7 pm CT.]
COVID-19 Community Level of GREEN (low):
Masks optional inside or out
COVID-19 Community Level of YELLOW (medium):
Masks recommended indoors
COVID-19 Community Level of Red (high):
Masks required indoors
Outdoor and virtual gatherings to be strongly considered
No food or beverages shared indoors
Through consultation with MN Public Health Recommendations, Fabric medical folks and community members, here are additional considerations that might help you decide what you will do as well as appreciate the choices and needs of others:
If you have symptoms, please stay home, take care and connect via our Livestream or later on the podcast.
Like unmasked coughing or yelling, unmasked singing increases the chance of transmission. We do like singing together!
When worn properly over your nose and mouth, masks (especially KN95, N95) have proven highly effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19, including protecting the person wearing them.
With the effectiveness of vaccines at preventing severe disease and the ability of higher-risk individuals to protect themselves with a high-quality mask, universal masking is less critical for public health and personal safety than in earlier phases of the pandemic, especially if the community level of COVID is low.
Kids (especially the littles) are shown to be less effective at transmitting COVID
Seeing each other’s faces is pretty great!
Our spaces (and people) are flexible which allows free movement to avoid extended close contact
Ventilation systems at Field School operate from 6:00am-3:00pm on Sundays in all the spaces we use for kids and adults. More from MPS.
Even when masks are optional, expect to see people wearing a mask anytime they determine it is best for them or the person sitting next to them!
We have KN95 masks available on Sundays.
Free COVID at-home tests can be ordered HERE.
A reminder…
We have different needs and comfort levels regarding masking, social distancing and physical contact.
Be sensitive to your own needs and those of others.
Ask if you aren’t sure.
Speak up about what you need. It’s not just okay, it’s important!
Thank you for your cooperation and consideration! Please contact Melissa Lock (melissa@fabricmpls.com) if you have questions.
