When we really sit down to make our Christmas wish list, aren’t we all just hoping that those feelings of connection, hope, and love are able to last more than the time it takes to rip open the wrapping paper on the gifts under the tree? Aren’t we really just wishing for, well, something real for Christmas?  Join the nursery toys and head off on an adventure filled with silly antics, a trip out to sea, and dancing with the Red Robins all to see if the Velveteen Rabbit can become real.  On Sunday, December 17 at 10:30am, Fabric Kids will share their version of this musical tale to help us all consider how we can be part of a Christmas that lasts.

On a seasonably warm fall weekend, a bunch of Fabric youth headed to camp courage in Maple Lake MN.  We gathered to build connection and belong with one another and to use some intriguing videos to spark conversations around where stress and tension shows up in the lives of teens, challenges to listening in the different people and groups we encounter and how to employ unreasonable hospitality with each other. Along the way we did a lot of playing, goofing around, creating and eating some yummy food!  We ended by creating a tree using real leaves and sharing words that represented our time together!

Fabric High Schoolers grew so much in Appalachia learning a new way of life and learning new skills while prepping for siding, putting in flooring and building a deck with a really long ramp. Read stories from the trip HERE.
