For the past many months, we have been focused on our value of “braving uncertainty” through a period of significant transition. Now, we are finding new footing with Ian enthusiastically planted as our new pastor.  Together, Ian, the Fabric staff, and the whole community are learning and growing into our next chapter together, with roots grounding us and new growth emerging.

Our Spring Giving Challenge, which runs April 9-May 3, is an opportunity for us to come together and ensure the stability of our financial roots. Our goal is to have at least 100 participants contribute to: 1) raising $30K in one-time gifts, and 2) increasing automated giving by at least $1500/month.  (See our Mid-Year Financial Update for details of our financial highlights and challenges.)

Wondering how we’ll make our $30,000 goal with 100 participants? The pyramid gives you an idea.

The Spring Giving Challenge goal of increasing automated giving by at least $1500/month is designed to help keep Fabric financially sustainable.  This goal is also an annual reminder to all of us to recalibrate our giving with the value that Fabric brings to our lives.  Wrestling with and wondering about a financial commitment to Fabric, or any organization, can be difficult.  As Fabric, we believe it’s important for our spending to align with our values.  If Fabric is important to you, this is one opportunity to show it!  To the right is a chart illustrating how Fabric is currently supported by autogiving - specifically, the percentage of Fabric households enrolled in autogiving that give certain amounts each month.  If you have questions about how to enroll in or change your autogiving, or want to talk with one of our financial coaches about your situation, email katy@fabricmpls.com

We’ll be tracking participation week by week and we have fun staff hijinks planned at our gathering each Sunday if (when!!) we reach our weekly goals.

  • We had 15 donors by April 14, and Chris shaved his beard off in front of all of us! Here’s footage of the Great Beard Shave-Off that launched our Giving Challenge if you want to watch (or re-watch). YOU made that happen!

  • If we have 40 donors by April 21, the kids will give Heidi and Della extreme make-overs.

  • Want to see Melissa get saran-wrapped to the wall by a cast of characters?  We’ll need a total of 70 donors by April 28.

  • And on May 5 we’ll celebrate reaching our 100 donor goal with cake--and with Ian getting a pie in the face!!

Let us know how you’ll participate in helping Fabric reach one or both of our goals by completing the online form or emailing your plans to Katy at katy@fabricmpls.com.

Be one of the 100 donors blooming with us this Spring! Thank you for supporting Fabric.
