July 10th through July 21st, Ian is in New Orleans as a part of his responsibilities with the national ELCA (the bigger Lutheran body Fabric springs from)Youth Gathering, which happens every three years in various cities around the country. This year, around 16,000 young people and caring adults from their communities will come together for 5 days of service, speeches, intercultural experience, and relationship-building. This is the culmination of Ian’s three years serving as part of the team planning everything that will happen each evening at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. You can get a taste via livestream on the Youth Gathering website from about 7:00-9:00 p.m. on July 16-19th, and at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21st.

Fabric is in the important business of reimagining and innovating what “church” can be for these and millions more young people. Thanks from New Orleans!
