THE FRAY: Grades 6-8
Meets Sunday mornings (September – May) and usually involves donuts or something tasty! But it also includes time spent building relationships and talking about our faith in relevant, honest, thinking, and casual ways, challenging kids to explore the ways God is working in their lives. Here's What's Happening This Week
Sundays in January - A Time for Stillness: We have just finished a season filled with figgy pudding, drummers drumming, FaLaLas and a pretty busy calendar that might have left us feeling depleted and worn out. The world has given us a winter gift of a natural pause, a season of rest, darkness, and stillness that both releases us from the chaotic and calls us into the calm. Join us this January as we listen for the whispers of wholeness and mystery that our hearts are longing for. More HERE.
Wednesday Groups for Youth:
Meets on Wednesdays 6:30 – 8:00pm during the school year. Group is designed to help kids discover the person God is creating us to be and how faith stuff is really life stuff. Group helps to build a community that we can bring our questions to, learn to care for each other, and how to share our stories. One of the best ways to make big things approachable for youth is through fun! Typical Group events might include; game nights, movie discussions, bowling, tubing, city scavenger hunts, serving opportunities, mentoring, pizza making, and semi-competitive games of dodgeball! Here is what is happening in January!
Retreats/Camp:
A few times a year we take the time to get away from the busyness, and pressures of our everyday life and spend some concentrated time learning, sharing, serving, and connecting with one another. Check out upcoming trips for kids 4th grade through 12th grade here.
I love this opportunity to combine an incredible Vampire movie set in 1930s Mississippi Delta, historical and spiritual context and a dinner table of people to process and learn with!
